Dr. Jianxing He, Professor, M.D., PhD, FACS, is doctoral supervisor of thoracic surgery, president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, chief physician and director of the Thoracic Surgery Department of the hospital. Dr. He has 25-year experience of thoracic surgery. He is one of the founders and beginners of China minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He is the first person to introduce and apply the Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS) technique into China. He gains high reputation in VATS, both domestic and international.

The surgery team he guides has accomplished more than 12,000 minimally invasive thoracic surgeries, including complete-VATS and hybrid-VATS.
